The Managing Director of Masonite in Leitrim has said the company is very concerned about the backlog in timber production due to legal challenges on felling licences.
Several agencies, including Coillte have warned of a threat to jobs if the supply of timber runs out.
The agency says appeals to tree felling licences aren't being dealt with quickly enough by the Forestry Appeals Committee and it's led to huge delays.
Cormac Kearns says the issue is something they've also been aware of for the past year, and they have joined in highlighting concerns to government on the matter.
Masonite currently employs 140 people from Leitrim, Roscommon and Longford at its site near Carrick-on-Shannon, using wood chip to make door skins.
