Man who died in Roscommon road incident named locally

Tributes are being paid to the popular north Roscommon man who died in a road-traffic incident yesterday.

Padraig Nugent, from Kilglass, was aged in his 50s and was a stalwart of Kilglass Gaels GAA club.

He died in a single-vehicle incident in Culleenamore, Kilglass, early this morning.

He was the only person in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
