A man is to appear in court today charged over a residential break in in Athlone over the weekend.
The suspect was reportedly disturbed during the course of the burglary at a house in a local estate and left the scene.
A man in his 40s was subsequently arrested on later that afternoon and held in custody in Athlone Garda Station.

He has been charged and is due to appear at Mullingar District Court today.
