A file will be prepared for the DPP after a pensioner was allegedly assaulted at a house in Carrick-on-Shannon last week.
A man in his 70s was treated for non life threatening injuries following the incident last Thursday just after 7.30pm

Gardai in Carrick on Shannon arrested a man in his 50s on Monday afternoon in connection with the incident and was questioned by detectives
He was subsequently released without charge and a file will be prepared for the DPP.
