Man killed in Longford road crash named locally

Gardai are appealing for witnesses.

A man killed in a Longford road crash yesterday has been named locally.

Brian Gill from Culray in Aughnacliffe was killed when the car he was driving was involved in a collision with an SUV on a local road at Cleenrath near the village.

The farmer in his 60s was pronounced dead at the scene while the two people in the SUV were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.

They'd also like anyone with video footage to make this available to them.
