A man has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in Glenamaddy, Co. Galway.
It happened on the Creggs Road shortly before 2 o'clock this morning.
The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, was taken to University Hospital Galway for treatment of serious injuries.

The road was closed for a technical examination but has since reopened.
