A motorcyclist in his 50s is in critical condition following a crash in County Mayo.
The collision with a car happened on the Castlebar Road in Newport shortly before 5 o'clock yesterday evening.
The injured man was taken to Mayo University Hospital, after receiving medical treatment at the scene.

A man in his 60s has been arrested in connection with the investigation.
No other injuries have been reported.
