A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with a dangerous driving incident that left two people in hospital.
Officers in Longford received reports on Monday afternoon that a person was driving erratically. They attempted to stop the vehicle on the Ballinalee Road, but it fled the scene, hitting a Garda in the process.
It continued into Ard Aoibhinn where it struck a patrol car, and later crashed into a wall in the Ardnacassa area. Both the driver and the injured Garda were taken to hospital, the Garda has since been released.
