A Longford councillor says it's time the HSE 'pulled its socks up' and developed a Minor Injury Unit in the county. Cllr Peggy Nolan was speaking following a recent meeting between Fine Gael Senator Micheál Carrigy and Tánaiste Simon Harris. The issue of a minor injury unit for Longford was brought up during that meeting. There's a GP service in operation at St Joseph's Care Centre but patients are forced to travel as far away as Mullingar for other services. Cllr Nolan says the existing building in Longford would be a suitable location for the unit:
