A new scheme to allow undocumented migrants access to employment and a path to citizenship will give them the chance to officially contribute to the country.
That's according to Longford Green Party representative, Catherine Joseph who says the people set to benefit from this scheme are already here and working off the books.
17,000 people, including 3,000 children, could be eligible to apply and would need will need to have been here for 4 years without permission - or 3 years if they have children

The scheme, which opens for applications this morning will close at the end of July.
