A motorist is expected to face court following a significant speeding detection by Longford Gardaí.
The local Roads Policing Unit stopped a driver in the county travelling at 152 km/h in a 100 km/h zone yesterday morning.
The motorist was detected as part of routine checkpoint in the county, with local Gardaí urging the public not to drive recklessly, especially on icy roads.

The driver of the vehicle was fined and will face court proceedings later in the year.
