Longford Gardai stop car doing over 140km/h on N4

Gardai in Longford stopped a car doing almost one-and-half-times the speed limit on the N4 last night.

The driver was stopped in a 100km/h zone in a car which was detected travelling at 143/km/h.

Gardai have confirmed that proceedings, which are likely to involve a fine and the imposition of penalty points, will follow.
