A motorist in Co. Longford was arrested by Gardaí this week following a number of traffic offences. Longford Roads Policing Unit stopped a vehicle after an ANPR alert for no insurance. The driver was subjected to an oral fluid test which tested positive for Cannabis.
It was later discovered that the motorist was a disqualified driver and the vehicle was also seized for having no insurance, tax or NCT. Gardaí say the driver was charged and further charges are possible pending analysis of a blood sample.
