Longford GAA club chair hopes government will support provision of new pool

Included in the plans for Monaduff Park are the construction of an astro turf pitch, hand ball alley, new lighting fixtures and perimeter fencing.

A North Longford GAA club is looking to the future and the provision of a new public swimming pool for the county.
Fr Manning Gaels GAA club in Drumlish applied for and were granted planning permission for the construction of a multi-purpose building to house the pool, changing rooms, treatment room and a general purpose room at their ground last year.
Included in the plans for Monaduff Park are the construction of an astro turf pitch, hand ball alley, new lighting fixtures and perimeter fencing.

Fr Manning Gaels claimed the Longford Intermediate title this year, with club chair Mike Mulleady hoping for more positive developments in 2025.
Speaking to Shannonside FM News he says that the pool is still some years away but he's hopeful that government support will help in its provision:
