The Chief Executive of Longford County Council says the overhaul of Connolly Barracks will commence early next year. The project will go to tender in January and a contractor will be appointed in March. It's expected to be completed in October 2027.
The former barracks closed in 2009 and it was bought by Longford County Council in 2012. Chief Executive Paddy Mahon says THRIVE funding will be instrumental in getting the project across the line:
