The long-awaited new swimming pool in Ballaghaderreen is opening today.
The facility will be opening under its new name, The Splash Pool Ballaghaderreen, after having been closed for more than two years.
The leisure centre in the Abbeyfield Hotel refugee centre was on the brink of reopening earlier this year, however a deal collapsed with the owners.
New operator, Splash Swim Schools, has been providing swimming classes to adults, children and infants since 2015, and currently has nine locations around the country.
The reopening of the pool will generate 25 new jobs.
