The health system is failing those living with eating disorders.
That's according to Sinn Féin TD Sorca Clarke, who says there's currently no way of knowing how many people are affected.
She says a model of care was introduced eight years ago but it's not clear if it's ever been properly resourced.
The Longford-Westmeath TD says the lack of a national registry is hampering efforts to tackle the issue.
She says there's no way of effectively planning the provision of services:
