A local TD is set to meet with Cuan later today, seeking an update on a domestic violence refuge being developed in Roscommon. Cuan are the statutory agency tasked with increasing refuge spaces as part of a coordinated Government response to domestic, sexual and gender based violence.
Roscommon is one of a number of counties that has no domestic violence refuge. Sinn Féin TD Claire Kerrane is hoping for progress at today's meeting:
