A newly elected local TD says he would prefer if Michael and Danny Healy Rae were not part of the next government. Independents are currently seen as the most likely coalition partner for Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael.
Michael Healy Rae said earlier this week that he will support a Fianna Fail/Fine Gael Government if the people of Kerry are prioritised. However speaking to the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, Roscommon-Galway TD Martin Daly says he would prefer to work with more like-minded Independents:

Meanwhile, Deputy Daly also hasn't ruled out staying on as the Roscommon GAA Team Doctor for 2025. Daly has been the county team doctor for the past 28 years and says he will be speaking to chairperson Brian Carroll in the coming days:
