A Longford-Westmeath TD hopes the perpetrators of historical sexual abuse in schools are held to account for their actions.
It comes as the government has announced a new Commission of Investigation, which will examine allegations of abuse in schools across Ireland.
The Commission will be required to examine the handling of allegations, suspicions, and concerns of historical sexual abuse in schools, and that it consider both religious and non-religious primary and secondary schools.
