A local TD has called for Presidential Election voting rights to be extended to people living in Northern Ireland.
A motion brought forward by Sinn Féin was discussed in the Dáil yesterday evening to put forward a referendum which could enable Irish people living in Northern Ireland or abroad to vote.
A referendum had previously been set by the government for May 2019, but was delayed.
