The need for further investment in an ancient tourist site in Longford was raised this week by a local TD.
Micheál Carrigy asked the OPW whether further enhancement of the Corlea Trackway was on the cards.
The OPW's Head of Heritage Services and Capital Works Delivery Rosemary Collier said a masterplan was being developed for the site.
She said the Office of Public Works was also working with Bord na Mona and Longford County Council to further develop the biodiversity potential there.
