New funding announced could see over 2,000 new houses developed in the Shannonside region. Three local projects have been approved under the Government's Housing Infrastructure Investment Fund. In Co. Roscommon, the announcement will see land unlocked in Lisnamult and Ardsallagh More which could see around 1,900 houses developed.
Elsewhere, land unlocked at Lisnagat in Carrick on Shannon will also potentially see 125 residential units developed. Roscommon-Galway TD Martin Daly has welcomed todays announcement:
