Over 2,000 students across the Shannonside region are due to receive their Junior Cycle exam results today.
The results will be distributed to students at their schools later.
Exam results are combined with outcomes from other areas of learning, such as classroom-based assessments, to become the Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement (JCPA).
The JCPA replaces the old Junior 'Certificate', which is no longer issued by the State Examinations Commission.
