Local Gardai are warning the public to be very aware of a new text scam in the run up to Easter.
Scammers are posing as confectionary brands giving phone users a chance to win an Easter hamper.
The scam message is being spread on social media platforms Facebook and WhatsApp and asks users to click on a link to enter.
