Local drivers paid almost €30 million in motor tax last year

The state got almost €30 million  in motor tax from Shannonside drivers last year.

Drivers paid just under €7 million in Leitrim, €8.2 million in Longford, and €14.6 million in Roscommon.

Each of these figures are around €200,000 or €300,000 higher than the previous year.

A total of €964 million was collected in motor tax around the country last year.
