A local councillor says funding for Roscommon University Hospital is welcome but remains cautious about upgrades at the facility. It follows yesterday's announcement of the HSE Capital Plan for 2025. Among the projects listed is the design of a long-awaited rehabilitation unit at RUH. Refurbishment works at the hospital's Radiology Department as well as the replacement of the existing Department of Psychiatry Unit are also included in the plan.
Hospital Action Committee councillor Valerie Byrne called for an update on the rehab unit last year. She says funding is always welcome but she'll wait to see the full details of any works:
