A Roscommon Councillor says he's surprised no fines were handed out by the local authority last year for parking on footpaths. Data gathered by Vision Ireland show that Roscommon was the only local authority not to issue a fine for the offence last year.
Meanwhile, 13 fines were issued by Longford County Council and 5 were handed out in Leitrim. Independent Cllr Tom Crosby says he will be raising the issue at the next Roscommon County Council meeting:
