Tom Walsh lost his life at the Pigeons at 11 o'clock yesterday morning, when the car he was driving collided with another car.

Two other men, both in their 80s, are in Tullamore Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Tom Walsh was aged in his 60s, and local councillor Pat O'Toole says he was highly regarded in Ballymahon:
