There are concerns more houses, sheds and septic tanks will be flooded in South Roscommon if urgent action isn't taken. Tánaiste Micheál Martin visited Lough Funshinagh yesterday and met residents impacted by the flooding in Ballagh, Rahara and Curraghboy.
Residents have been left frustrated by what they say is a lack of progress on a solution to the flooding which has been ongoing since 2016. Local Cllr Laurence Fallon believes there is a strong chance the area will be deemed an emergency this year:
