Local Cllr says it was lucky nobody was badly injured in Boyle road crash

One man was taken to Sligo University Hospital with what Gardaí say are non-life threatening injuries following the two-vehicle collision at around 3.30pm.

A local councillor says it's lucky no one was badly injured or worse following a horrific road traffic collision in Boyle yesterday afternoon. Dramatic footage of the crash has been widely shared online and Gardaí are currently investigating the circumstances around it.

One man was taken to Sligo University Hospital with what Gardaí say are non-life threatening injuries following the two-vehicle collision at around 3.30pm. Speaking to Shannonside News, Fianna Fáil councillor Seán Moylan says it's a miracle there weren't mass casualties as a result of the impact:
