A local auctioneer says the constant rise of house inflation is due to a persistent lack of supply. It follows the most recent report from Daft.ie which revealed that inflation is at a 10-year-high.
The average house now costs almost 222 thousand euro in the Shannonside region. Leitrim-based auctioneer Liam Farrell says the situation is unsustainable for young people looking for a house in rural Ireland:
