The Shannonside region could be braced for severe impact for the former Hurrciane Homberto.
Humberto, which is the third hurricane of this year's Atlantic storm season, is currently tracking northeast across the Atlantic Ocean in the direction of Europe.
Damaging winds are expected in counties Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon on Friday.

While no warnings have issued of yet, the public are being urged to prepare for possible disruption.
