The Local Improvement Scheme is an 'important partnership between government and people living in rural Ireland.'
That's according to the Minister for Public Expenditure and Infrastructure, Jack Chambers, who was speaking at Áras an Chontae in Longford Town today.
The minister met representatives in Longford to discuss a range of issues and projects, including a potential housing development in the county and the upgrade of the N4.
