Leitrim pub thanks HSE for support after staff member's Covid case

The popular bar was closed over the weekend after the staff member tested positive for the virus

A Leitrim business, which had to close last week after a staff member tested positive for Covid, has thanked the HSE for guidance and support.

McHugh's in Carrick-on-Shannon shut their doors last Friday afternoon after a staff member tested positive for the virus which resulted in all staff then being sent for tests, despite over 50% of the employees being fully vaccinated.

The bar has now confirmed that following HSE advice, they have re-opened, and in a post on Facebook, have thanked health officials for "advice, guidance and support" and have expressed their pride in the service which they claim should be applauded.
