A county Leitrim premises was among those given a closure order by the FSAI last month.
Big Johns, located on Upper Main Street in Mohill, was issued with the order on November 20th.
Under the FSAI Act, 1998, a closure order is served where it is deemed that there is or there is likely to be a grave and immediate danger to public health at or in the premises.

Closure orders can refer to the immediate closure of all or part of the food premises, or all or some of its activities.
According to the FSAI, Big Johns was inadequately pest proofed and there was evidence of rodent activity in the premises.
The premises remained open and continued to trade despite confirmation of an active pest infestation.
