Sinn Féin TD Martin Kenny was speaking during a Labour motion, which calls for a mini-Budget.

The Dáil has heard many people in Leitrim still can't afford to heat their homes - despite the improved weather.

Sinn Féin TD Martin Kenny was speaking during a Labour motion, which calls for a mini-Budget.

It calls for a €400 energy credit for households with salaries of less than €80,000 a year.

Deputy Kenny also believes the recent government measures didn't go far enough:

Labour's also calling for a 100 euro 'groceries supplement' to combat high prices at the checkout.
