The principal of a Leitrim national school says the campaign for a new school building will continue.
Disappointment followed this week after the Department of Education omitted it from its list of new school building projects.
Scoil Mhuire in Carrick-on-Shannon has been campaigning for a much-needed new national school, on a single campus for over 11 years.
Staff and local public representatives met with senior Department of Education officials last year.
