Leitrim man Liam Farrell's body to be reburied following exhumation

The 87-year-old died in suspicious circumstances in Rooskey in January 2020.

The body of Leitrim man Liam Farrell will be reburied on Thursday morning. His remains were exhumed from Cloonmorris Cemetery in Bornacoola on April 10th as part of a cold-case investigation. The 87-year-old died in suspicious circumstances in Rooskey in January 2020. Gardaí launched a new investigation into his death following a lengthy campaign by his family. The exhumation was ordered by the Minister for Justice with Chief State Pathologist Professor Linda Mulligan conducting a new post-mortem examination.
