Leitrim has the cheapest homes in the country, CSO finds

Nationally, the median price for a house in the last twelve months was €360,000.

Leitrim had the lowest median property price for February at €185,000, according to the latest CSO figures.

Nationally, the median price for a house in the last twelve months was €360,000.

The Residential Property Price Index shows property prices rose by 7.1 per cent in Dublin and 8.7 per cent outside the capital since February 2024.

Leitrim had the lowest median price in the country at €185,000 with a house in the Carrick-on-Shannon N41 postcode the same.

County Roscommon saw a median price of €188,500 in February while Longford properties were at €190.000.

The Athlone N37 eircode was the most expensive locally at €280,000 while Castlerea was the lowest at €148,000.

Elsewhere, the Roscommon F42 eircode saw a median of €233,750 while it was €189,500 in the Boyle F52 eircode.
