Leitrim based GP Dr Sean Bourke says he and other colleagues have been given no information or guidance so far on the rollout of the vaccine to the general community.
The Ballinamore doctor says he believes the main issue will be to have enough supply of the vaccine, but that there will also be logistical problems in administering it.
Dr Bourke says some older people may not be in a position to travel to the surgery and it may take almost an hour to visit their home and give the dose because of the necessary Covid precautions.

He says there had been talk of the rollout beginning next week, but it's unlikely that will happen given that GP's haven't been able to make the necessary preparations…
