It follows speculation about Micheál Martin's future as leader of the party following a disastrous presidential campaign, which saw Jim Gavin withdraw three weeks before the election.

A Fianna Fáil councillor in Leitrim says party members in the county remain deeply disappointed following the Presidential Election.

It follows speculation about Micheál Martin's future as leader of the party following a disastrous presidential campaign, which saw Jim Gavin withdraw three weeks before the election.

Mr Martin says he intends to lead the party into the next general election and is focused on issues such as housing.
