Leitrim farmer Kevin Comiskey has been elected as the new Chair of the IFA Sheep Committee.
He has previously served as vice-chair of the committee, and takes over the role from Sean Dennehy.
His appointment is one of a total of three announced on Friday bringing a total of 8 new people to head the various committees on the farmers representative association.

All of the new Chairs will take up their roles at the Annual General Meeting of IFA which is due to be held later this month.
