Leitrim councillors ramp up campaign for new Rooskey footbridge

Councillor Maeve Reynolds, from Fine Gael, says a new footbridge is the only acceptable solution.

There are new calls from three Leitrim councillors to build a new foot-bridge in Rooskey.

Sean McGowan, Maeve Reynolds and Cormac Flynn will make the proposal at next Monday's Carrick-on-Shannon Municipal District meeting.

They're all critical of the traffic lights, with a one-way system for motorists, that was trialled last year.
