Leitrim Councillor calls for no cut to commercial rates in next county budget

Commercial rates should not be cut in Co Leitrim next year, according to a Fine Gael councillor.

Leitrim County Council will set the rate for 2025 at its Budget meeting in November.

Councillor Ita Reynolds Flynn doesn't believe it should be reduced as the funds are vital for community projects, like greenways.

But she says there should be concessions for new businesses.
