A Leitrim councillor is calling for the state watchdog to investigate a 'significant variation' in fuel prices.
The government cut excise duty on petrol and diesel last week, in response to the Iran war.
But diesel still costs over €2.10 a litre in many local filling stations - with petrol selling for around €1.90.
