Large crowds gathered in Drumhierney Wood Lodge in Leitrim village last night for the launch of Leitrim County Council's new Biodiversity Action Plan.
It sets out how nature in the county will be protected over the next five years.
The plan focuses on practical actions for habitats, wildlife and community involvement across Leitrim.
