A large goods waste collection is taking place in Longford today.
The public can bring along items such as mattresses, furniture, carpets, toys, and household scrap metal.
The waste collection is taking place at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park in the lower carpark until 12 pm, and at Granard Farmers Mart from 1.30 to 3.30 pm.

Charges apply per vehicle brought to transport the goods, where cash payments only will be accepted.
No tractors and trailers are permitted.
Electrical items, PVC, plastic oil tanks, lead, tiles, ceramics, hazardous waste, construction and demolition waste, and broken glass are also not permitted at this collection.
