The Justice Minister has no problem with Liam Farrell's family organising a private exhumation of his remains. The 87-year-old was found dead outside his house in Rooskey in January 2020, with his body bruised and bloodied. Jim O'Callaghan met his family in Dublin yesterday, where they called for an exhumation.
Minister O'Callaghan will discuss the issue with Garda Commissioner Justin Kelly in the next week or so. Liam's son, Peter, says a private exhumation is also an option - as he mentioned to the minister yesterday:
