Ireland West Airport to receive almost €2 million in funding

It's expected the funding will go towards vital safety and security operations at the airport.

Ireland West Airport is set to receive over €1.9 million in Government funding. The funding is part of an overall package of €4 million announced today by the Minister for Transport, Darragh O’Brien.

It's expected the funding will go towards vital safety and security operations at the airport. Official opened in 1986, Passenger numbers at Ireland West Airport in 2025 are expected to reach record levels of around 950,000.
